Little Gems 2012

The Gemco Players original short play festival Little Gems is an annual writers’ festival of short scripts intended to provide a forum to promote and encourage experienced writers, new writers and young writers to practice and further their craft of writing for the stage.

Gemco Players invites submissions from writers of stage drama for its 2012 publication and performance of Little Gems short plays.

Plays can be of any length up to 10 minutes with up to four actors and no restrictions on theme or genre.

Submissions

Submissions are open from August 2011 until January 2012.

Short Listing and Final Selection

In April 2012 twenty short listed submissions will be given a rehearsed reading at the Gem theatre and from them approximately 10 plays will be selected, depending on length of plays, for publication and performance.

Selected plays will be announced in May 2012.
