What a surprising and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

All the monologues were wonderful. It was very interesting to see performances when the actor chooses their own piece, you see a completely different aspect to them, and in a good way. We had drama, reflection, tears, dry humour, anger, rousing speeches, and naughty words. The audience was right behind everyone.

Ross Housham MC'd, stage managed and chased around looking for Don (who arrived at the 11th hour to deliver his two offerings). He also gave his opening speech from Canterbury Tales to warm everyone up.

Contenders for the five prizes were: Kat Alverez; David Greenaway; Aimee Achten; Luke Slade; Don Black; Andrew Tomazos; Ash Herring; Emma Newport; Jackson Cowan; Will Gardner.

Our adjudicators Sharon Maine and Jacqui Greenaway gave positive and encouraging critiques at the end of the evening, and the winners were ...

Most Outstanding Drama
- Emma Newport.

Most Outstanding Comedy
- Jackson Cowan.

Most Outstanding Youth Drama
- Luke Slade.

Most Outstanding Youth Comedy
- Will Gardner.

Encouragement Award - Youth
- Aimee Achten

We look forward to doing it all again next year.
