About The Event
It is with great delight (and a touch of mild trepidation) that we welcome you to the audition booklet for Welcome to Little Grimley—a triumphant trilogy of theatrical tomfoolery! This year, Gemco Players shall embark upon a rollicking journey through three one-act plays: The Last Tango in Little Grimley, The Last Panto in Little Grimley, and The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley.
For those unfamiliar with the goings-on in the delightfully inept world of the Little Grimley Dramatic Society, allow us to enlighten you. The Little Grimley series, written by David Tristram, is a hilarious and heartfelt collection of one-act plays centred around the antics of the Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society. This struggling drama group faces dwindling memberships, financial woes, and questionable talent—but their indomitable spirit keeps them forging ahead. These plays are a celebration of community theatre, filled with sharp wit and charmingly flawed characters.
